Kitchen & Bath

Joel stained and finished this new oak ledge for the stairwell heading down to the basement.

Joel hung all brand new doors, that he also painted throughout the house. The bathroom doors are an example of what all the doors look like.

This is one of my favorite parts of the house, the 15 lite pocket door separating the mudroom from the kitchen. It was originally pine, but Joel stained it to match the cabinets.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is still not complete, but we can at least show you how far along we are!

We had to move the bedroom door, so the left hole is the old door, the right is the new door.
The old door filled in.

Newly dry-walled room, no popcorn ceiling!

Thank you Dan, our drywall finisher . . .

Joel built a box into the wall for our future TV

Joel ripping up the carpet pad, getting the room ready for the hardwood floors.

Our walk-in closet, Joel tore down the old one and replaced it with a bigger and better one!

It's been a while . . .

A lot has been done to the house, so I will just start posting the pictures . . .

Before

After
There was carpet in the living and Joel took it out, then Joel installed the hardwood floors, Brazilian Redwood (yes, I cut down the rainforest!)

The Hallway

Ok funny, the pictures below are the original paint colors, check out that green!

Some outside work . . .

We tore out the ugly bushes . . .

Grandma and Grandpa Baker got me some Hydrangea plants for my birthday!

Oh and another present for my birthday!

Backyard

The Deck and Backyard

The stairs have been replaced and are now wider than in the picture.

Josh is standing where the old stairs to the backyard used to be. Joel took them out, extended the deck out, and then created new stairs to the backyard next to the garage.

Joel built the backyard fence and two retaining walls.

Joel extended the deck (left side of deck) as you can see in the picture the different deck colors. Also in the pictures are the new stairs to the backyard and the retaining walls he had to build.

Joel and Bob build a gate for the new stairs.
